We are excited to share a beautiful exploration of three very different Italian Lambrusco wines—three of our personal favorites from our favorite Lambrusco producer, Medici Ermete, in Emilia Romagna, Italy.
These three bottles—two Sorbara and one Reggiano style red—are the perfect selection to bring to a friend or enjoy during the holidays.
Quercioli Sorbara Lambrusco
A lovely and rare Rosé Lambrusco from Emilia-Romagna, this wine is a special and unusual expression of Lambrusco due to its color. It is low to medium body, dry, and high acid, with notes of cherry, wild strawberry, and tart cranberry. Great for any special occasion.
Carezza Sorbara Metodo Classico
This Traditional Method Lambrusco Rosé shows an intense pink hue with fine effervescence. It offers aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, and subtle brioche. The palate is dry, fresh, and vibrant with great acidity, a clean fruity profile, and a persistent finish. Excellent with charcuterie or Parmigiano Reggiano, this will certainly be on our table for Christmas dinner.
Antica Osteria
A beautiful, dry, full-bodied sparkling red Lambrusco from Emilia-Romagna. This is a crowd-pleaser, perfect to bring as a gift, offering bouquets of berries, dried fruit, and violets, with nice acidity and lots of depth.
