Emilia-Romagna, Italy, 2020
Ancestral method rosé Lambrusco from Emilia-Romagna. This Lambrusco is unusual because it is made the same way Champagne is made, meaning the second fermentation is in the bottle on the lees (yeast), resulting in more effervescence, a drier wine, and slightly yeasty, toasty notes. Dry, light to medium body, high acid, but the wine is still quite light, with notes of red fruit, rhubarb, grapefruit and white nectarine. It is unfiltered so expect some light sediment.
