This beautiful white wine is grown on the slopes of Mount Etna, in the Catania province of Sicily. It is a blend of varietals Carricante (90%) and Riesling (10%) Carricante is an indigenous grape to Sicily that can be quite austere but the inclusion of the Riesling lends some aromacy and juiciness. Enjoys notes of yellow apple, quince, citrus, honey, a hint of toasted almond, and smoke with a high level of minerality and salinity.
Dry, light to medium body, high acid.
Enjoy with spicy foods, fresh seafood, olive oil and tomato based pastas, white meat, hard cheeses and salami.
